SEVEN COUPLES AND THE LORD
John and Karen Freundt, Wilson and Annette Crabtree, Frank and Dorothy Hicks, Bob and Joanne Klade, Herbert and Allene Odum, Ed and Ilene Casper and Vick and Becky Bohlmann. This was the beginning core of our present day church. They met in each other’s homes for Bible study and fellowship on regular occasions. Frank Hicks located a vacant and centrally located building (the former Airstar bldg.) on FM 2869 just North of Hwy 14, made some inquiries, and obtained it for the use of the small group.

Senior Pastor, Vic Willman of Trinity Lutheran Church in Tyler answered the call to lead the group in worship and communion once a month, with Bible study continuing the other Sundays. This evolved into a pastor from Tyler or Longview leading the group on two Sundays each month and a video/venue presentation from Trinity Lutheran for the other weeks.

On October 29, 2005, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Palestine, Texas donated an organ to this group. It is a wonderful addition to the worship atmosphere and all members were grateful for the gift. With much prayer, innovative ideas, and hard work the group continues to grow. It is a quiet and dignified place to worship, and we invite and welcome   any and all to come worship with us. We have a Bible Study on Sunday at 5:30 PM, with Worship Services following at 6:30 PM. During the Lenten season, services are held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday night.
